Graffiti removal day in New South Wales
As graffiti is an ever-growing problem in Sydney and the rest of New South Wales, an event called Graffiti Removal Day is organised annually to encourage volunteers to remove and prevent graffiti.
In 2017 the Graffiti Removal Day will take place on the 29th of October.
The Graffiti Removal Day focuses on cleaning hundreds of sites that have been nominated. In 2012 when the event first took place 597 volunteers worked on graffiti prevention on 100 sites. In 2016, there were already 1503 volunteers who picked up the fight against graffiti on 461 sites.
